Reunion

by Joanna

Grasping
Pawing
Tumbling after absence

Frames flicker
As body circles body
Fires rising

Expansion of this coming moment
Instills more than
A fantasy rides’ escapade

Lasting through the
Germination of
Seasons of the heart

We

Sense the break

Making moves toward outer rings

Concentric cycles

Activating more than the eye beholds

This lovers’ embrace is a fluctuation
A willingness
To accept all

To grant access
To each of the inner alleys
Be they dark or merry…

I am beholden to say
Exquisite is this instance
Of pressing foreheads in the night
