Eyes

by Joanna

Even in the darkness
We have an eye that sees
Peering through the net
Of neural pathways streaming

Refracting further dimensions
Into something we can grasp
Something akin to tangible
Yet still open to interpretation

On the outside we have two eyes
Set to take in the view
These eyes will sometimes fail us
If perception falters

What matters now
Is the choice…
Which view do we allow
Into our intimate realities?
